As the project leader of the Young Composers Project I was privileged to witness the journey of the young composers over the year, from very uncertain and nervous students at the start, to confident young composers leading their own rehearsals. I am very proud of this student’s transformation and here is one of here pieces she wrote with us.
“I wrote the piece for a cellist and I (Viola). Having that sentence (Nobody Cares if it’s Bad) scribbled on top of the page encouraged me to continue writing the music. Keeping that phrase in mind. I hope to write a few other movements to it.”
