Looking for Marimba & Saxophone duets, I stumbled upon this very interesting percussion and saxophone duo which equally focuses on 20th century repertoire (mainly arrangements), as well as performing new works by contemporary composers.

The following album is more relevant since it mostly uses pitched percussion (including marimba) in combination with the saxophone. Have a listen, it might help you come up with some ideas!

Less relevant to the workshop but still a great example of how New Music knows no boundaries between styles.

Contemporary composers (like yourselves!) should never be restricted by genres and “labels”! (classical, rock, alternative, metal, grunge etc etc)

Might be a good idea to slightly turn down the volume before pressing “play”.. 😉
