It’s been a real pleasure to watch some of our students grow over the past two years in this project. We have been able to watch some students who were finding writing music a challenge last year, develop into fantastic composers! The new students have also been impressive, with one student even bringing sections of her 2 hour long musical for us to look at.
In my new role as saxophonist I have been lucky enough to work closely with the students on their pieces. This has let me see the them in every stage of their development. I think it has been really valuable for the students to work closely with an instrumentalist, as this is something they have not had the opportunity to do before. I really look forward to playing in the final concert on the 15th March now.
