Just to keep you on your toes, this week’s Task Tuesday is on a Wednesday! (I totally didn’t just forget to press ‘publish post’ yesterday…)

This week we’ll be thinking about doing something with the rhythm you found last week. The aim here is to explore the possibilities within the rhythm, without straying too far from it. Here are few ideas of what you can do with a rhythm, but feel free to come up with your own ideas!

• Play it backwards
• Play faster or slower
• Extend it freely – do the same thing but different
• Play the same rhythm, but displace it in the bar (eg, beat 1 becomes beat 2)
• Repeat it forever. Or until it ceases to be interesting. Or forever. Up to you.

Make sure to keep a note of everything you’re doing, and don’t forget that we’d love to see anything you’re up to, whether or not it’s Task Tuesday related!
