Compose a Carol to be performed in King’s College Chapel

Hosted by The King’s Singers and judged by Stephen Cleobury, John Rutter, Richard Causton and Christopher Gabbitas, the competition invites composers from across the UK to enter an original, new Carol in one of four categories – SATB choir (for composers under 18 and over 18), Community Choir or a Carol for The King’s Singers.

The winners will:

  • Hear their Carol performed in King’s College Chapel, Cambridge, this December, conducted by Stephen Cleobury
  • Be provided with a recording of their Carol that will be broadcast on Classic FM
  • Have the opportunity to  have their Carol published by Edition Peters

All entrants will be invited to the event on the afternoon of 4th December 2015 in King’s College Chapel where the winning Carols will performed in a workshop environment by choirs from across the UK, conducted by Stephen Cleobury. The winning Carol for The King’s Singers will be included as part of their evening concert programme in the Chapel.
