On Tuesday 7th October 2014 I went to see the Russian State Philharmonic Orchestra at Butterworth Hall in the Warwick Arts Centre with my school. It was one of the first times I had ever seen a proper concert and it blew me away. Everyone was perfect! Valery Poliansky was the conductor and the pianist was Peter Donohoe. They played Tchaikovsky’s Marche Slave, Rachmaninov’s Piano Concerto No.3 and Tchaikovsky’s Symphony No.5. All of the performances were filled with emotion and bursting with feeling and emotion. The pianist came on and originally they brought put the music then they put it away and he recited the whole thing from memory. I was in the balcony seating so I had an amazing panoramic view of the whole orchestra. It was very impressive. I was intrigued with the whole performance as I felt I could hear all the instruments in the orchestra. I loved the whole performance it was amazing and there were no mistakes throughout.
